The Pledge
This is East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Pledge. It is a promise made by the council and it’s partners to all children and young people in its care and care leavers. It is set out under the five Every Child Matters outcomes, which children and young people said were important to them. Each year the Pledge will be checked to make sure it is working and meeting the needs of everyone involved but most importantly that it makes a real difference to the lives of looked after children and young people and care leavers.
This Pledge is a commitment from East Riding of Yorkshire Council and our partner agencies to children and young people in our care or leaving our care. We have signed up to this voluntarily to make sure all children and young people in care and leaving care have a positive experience and equal opportunities.
